Abstract Flower

Process                                                                                                       10/15 - 10/26

I decided to make an abstract flower with interesting line work. I decided to go with watercolor and ink pens as my medium for this piece. I used watercolor pencils to color in the different petals of the flower. I then chose three metallic shades of ink to draw the line work: silver, bronze, and gold. I added to the water to the pencil work, then drew the lines with the ink.

Judgment

I really like the way the color turned out, and the choice I made to add lines. The way I added the water to the pencil gave the petals more texture and value. The metallic lines gave the petals movement and detail.
